Willie Revillame back on air, enumerates ‘supporters’ during his darkest hours

Willie Revillame’s ‘Wil Time Bigtime’ features state-of-the-art high-definition LED floor
MANILA, Philippines—While many people were “hating” on Willie Revillame these past weeks for his alleged maltreatment of a six-year old boy on the now-defunct “Willing Willie,” the TV host revealed he had “supporters,” too.
According to him, these include senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Ernesto Maceda, Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. and Manny Villar; human rights lawyer Romeo Capulong; singers Jose Mari Chan and Gary Valenciano; religious leader Eddie Villanueva; businessman Manny V Pangilinan; co-host and Valenzuela Councilor Shalani Soledad; and MTRCB chairperson Grace Llamanzares-Poe.
Revillame said the Enriles invited him to their chapel and prayed for him. They gave him a miniature elephant from their personal collection, which the TV host showed on cam during the pilot episode of his new show “Wil Time Bigtime” last May 14.
“Swerte daw po ito,” he said while holding the elephant in his hand.
Revillame thanked human rights lawyer Romeo Capulong, who was in the audience that night.
The TV host disclosed that he received encouraging text messages from Gary and Angeli Valenciano and that he recently had dinner with singer Jose Mari Chan and the latter’s family.
Revillame noted.
As for TV5 owner Pangilinan, Revillame said he has never had a boss like him.
“Sabi po niya sa akin, ‘Your pain is our pain, your success is our success.’ Revillame recalled.
Villar, a good friend of Revillame for the longest time, sought out the latter when he was soul-searching in the mountains.
Revillame remarked.
Earlier in the show, the TV host revealed that Soledad sent him a belt. Soledad admitted doing so saying it was a token to wish him well for that night’s episode.
Revillame lauded Llamanzares-Poe for handling the ‘Jan-Jan’ [name of the six-year-old boy] issue “fairly.”
In concluding his seven-minute long speech, Revillame humbly addressed those who don’t “like” him.
According to a TV5 release, “Wil Time Bigtime” is bigger than its predecessor. Aside from the production numbers and cash prizes, the show features state-of-the-art high-definition LED floor (reportedly costing P16M)---a first in the history of  local game variety shows.

“Wil Time Bigtime” has new games namely “Baligtaran,” “Willie Stick,” “Roll It,” and “Step Yes, Step No.” In the last, the winner stands to win a house and lot, a Foton van and a million-peso cash prize.
TV5’s “Wiltime Bigtime” airs weeknights at 6:30 and Saturdays at 5 p.m.
