A music coordinator for MTV, described a rising creative force in the company, was shot dead outside his home early Sunday.
Gabriel Ben-Meir was shot in the back of the head execution-style as he walked from his car to his house in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.
There are currently no suspects in the slaying which happened about 1am Sunday and there are so far no leads, police say.

His body, however, was not discovered until 6.30am when a man walking his dog found Mr Ben-Meir lying in a pool if blood.
Mr Ben-Meir worked on shows such as Punk'd starring Ashton Kutcher and Top Pop Group.
Other credits include working as a music and production coordinator on The Hard Times of RJ Berger and Parental Control.
MTV has expressed its shock at the slaying, the Los Angeles Times reports.

A spokesman for the network said: 'We are shocked and saddened to learn about the tragic death of Gabriel Aron Ben-Meir, who was a valued member of the MTV family and a beloved and dedicated colleague and friend.
'Our hearts go out to his family.'
Police say several residents questioned by police said they heard a gunshot at the time but did not call police.
They added that the victim was discovered face down.

Detectives are looking into what kind of weapon was used, but the sources said it could have been a shotgun.
He started in the music industry as an intern at Geffen Records.
His sister, Alexis Ben-Meir, is a well-known figure in the music business who has worked at MCA Records, Suretone Records and is currently at Red Light Management.

Their father Nick Ben-Meir, is a longtime business manager who has represented musicians.
A former co-worker told the Hollywood Reporter: 'Gabriel was so damn sweet. He just loved music.
'I remember him at Coachella wanting to see every band. He was a really hard worker and super-passionate about music.'
The young business professional had just moved to the upscale neighborhood - a tight-knit, even cliquey, community.
